Lesson 2: Organisational structure of primary Schools.

Lesson 2: Organisational  structure of primary Schools.

The preliminary ideas that I have from this unit are that there are different school governing positions and bodies, and that each of this have different functions.

In this topic I have learned the important regulations for our work which include Decree 233/1997, of 2 September, of the Valencia Government, which approves the Organic and Functional Regulations for Infant Schools and Primary Schools, Royal Decree 126/2014, of 28 of February establishing the basic curriculum for primary education and the Organic Law 8/2913, of 9 December for the improvement of the quality on education. I have also learned the school governing positions, which are the director, the  head of studies and the secretary and the governing bodies are the teacher board and the school council. I have also learned the director’s functions and the requirements to be a director, the secretary’s functions, the head of studies’ functions, the school council’s functions and composition, the teacher’s board functions. In this lesson I have also learned about the Primary and infant education cycles team’s functions and the Pedagogical Coordination Commission functions and who forms this.

I have also learned about the form teacher, what is and what functions does it have. From this lesson I have also learned the functions of the Coordination of Information and Communicating Technology (ICT), the Training coordinator of the center, the Equality and Community Building Coordinator and the Book Reuse Programm Coordinator.

What knowledge can I generate?
This is a summary with all the governing bodies and position and some functions. I did this summary.

After reading this topic, I wasn't quite sure about the functions of the director according to LOMCE. After reading an article of Omar Alexander, I have understand all the functions of the directors according to LOE and LOMCE in schools.

After reading the article of Canary Government, in special the Ministry of education I have a clear view of the organizational structure of educational system, in this case os Canary, but it forms part of Spain.
