Lesson 6 - Pesonal and collective relationships: leadership, management and innovation organisations

Lesson 6: Personal and collective relationships: leadership

The preliminary ideas that I have about this topic is that there are different types of  cultures; and the different types of leadership; the types of leadership and that there are different in an educational context.
What I have learned are the name of the different types of cultures within the school environment (Individualised, fragemented, institutionalised and collaborative), also according to the organisation and management, the cultures can . also be divided (static and dynamic culture), and also the types of relationships (formal and informal).
I have also learned the different definitions of leadership (including form some authors: Bolivar, Losada and Dimmock) and the definition of management actions.  I have also learned, how it has changed over time (from 1960 to 1990). Also, the leadership styles (authoritarian, democratic and laissez-faire). In the educational context, leadership can be technical, humanistic, educational, symbolic and cultural. I have also learned, that in the educational context there are different types of leadership (Pedagogical, transformation, facilitating, sustainable, persuasive and distributed).

I have also learned educational innovation in school (the definition, what it leads to, what innovation means, and that we must rely on both, usual and new). I have also learned the legislation  LOMCE  Article 104 and 105 which talk about the recognition and support for teachers. Also, I learned, which issues could be the object of educational innovation: how to improve the classroom climat, how to make better use of space, how to make better use of time, how to improve teacher coordination, how to better involve families, how to motivate students, how to make classrooms more inclusive, how educational leadership improves student learning, improving school leadership, and open Book of Educational Innovation.

I founded this video very useful. lt talks about the different types of leadership styles, each one with their characteristics and when it style is appropiate.

I founded useful to read an article from NCTE, this is an article with different definitions of leadership, I think it can be useful for use as  you can see the different points of views of the authors mentioned.

I have also read an article on innovation  as I think it is important in education and I wanted to know if this was  true, and according to Phil McKinne, it is important. In his article he talks about innovation in education, also about the benefits of technology in the classroom, about . finding innovative Applications of Technology, innovations in Teaching Methods, analytics in education and the future of education.
